Madera, Madera County
Madera sits on Highway 99 near the geographic center of California. Vineyards surround the city, and the county is a leading producer of almonds, pistachios and figs. From here Highway 145 heads east to meet Highway 41, the road that climbs through Oakhurst to the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park.
